The Rule of Thirds

The rule of Thirds is an amazing rule. My photos were taken a dusk in a decently dark settings. In the shot at the farm, I changed the setting on my camera, and got a better shot. I hope that everyone had as much fun as I did on these assignments.

  1. I think that the rule of thirds works very well with your first set of pictures (on the sign). I really like the fact that you can see down a row of the farm and the sign off to the side of the picture. It makes the picture have more depth.

The second set of photos seem very busy with all of the trees all around the post. The picture with the post in the center actually seems more pleasing to me.

  2. I agree with Nathan here. You have shown that the rule of thirds works for some subjects and not for others. Well done.

  4. The second farm picture works perfectly. We can see the path were the best gooseberries are. The first pic kind of hides that from us. The second picture using the rule of thirds involves us in the scene.

  5. I like the farm shot. It really is cool how just adjusting the angle and using the rule of thirds that you get a whole new image. Nice work.

  6. The farm shots are really neat, with how you were able to move the numbered posts in and out of the frame with the rule of thirds.

    Good work.
